店員さんとの何気ない会話　A casual conversation with a shop clerk

とあるお店の仲の良い店員さんが産休に入るそうでこの前ご挨拶に行った。
「実はずっと不妊治療していたんです。お休みの日はずっと病院行ってました。」とのこと。

人の悩みって表面上では本当にわからないなぁ。。
「男の子ですか？女の子ですか？」「女の子です。今意外って思ったでしょ」って🫢

実は産休入ると聞いた時にKさんは男の子かなぁ〜なんて思っていたので心を読まれているみたいで笑

でも本当に本当におめでとうございます🎉㊗️🎊

私は元々別の担当さんだったけど異動に伴いKさんが担当になった。でもすぐにKさんも異動になった。ただそれぞれの店舗が近いこともありよく連絡をくれたのだ。

Kさんは別のお店で働いていたけど、たまたまこのお店の求人があり、私の前の担当の方と面談してこのお店で働くことになったとか。
話をする中で、「30代が一番楽しいですよ！自分にも余裕ができるし、周りも見られるし」とおっしゃるので「そうなんですか？私は20代辛いことが多かったからその言葉はなんか聞けて嬉しいです！」と答えた。

やはり学生から社会人になったことが大きいと思うけど大変なこと多かったな。。
世の中って理不尽なこと多いんだな。。と思ってた。しかもそれを対処する方法がわからないんだよね。
行動力が大事！と言っても思う結果を得られなかったり。。
Kさんも20代は辛いことたくさんあったけど、30代は新しい出会いも多くて楽しいですよ〜って！

些細な会話だったけど前向きな気持ちになれました💯
またKさんにお会いできますように！
そして元気な赤ちゃんが生まれますように⭐️

The other day, I went to say hello to a friendly shop clerk I know, who is going on maternity leave.
She told me, “Actually, I’ve been undergoing fertility treatments for a long time. On my days off, I was always at the hospital.”

It really struck me how you can never truly know what struggles someone might be facing just by looking at them.
I asked, “Is it a boy or a girl?” She said, “A girl. You were surprised, right?” 🫢

The truth is, when I first heard she was going on maternity leave, I assumed K-san would be having a boy—so when she said that, it felt like she had read my mind, haha.

But honestly, truly—congratulations! 🎉🎊

Originally, I had a different staff member assigned to me, but after a transfer, K-san became my new contact. Soon after, she was also transferred. Still, since the stores were close to each other, she often kept in touch with me.

She had been working at another store, but by chance, a position opened up at this one. After meeting with my previous contact, she started working here.
During one of our chats, she told me, “Your 30s are the most fun! You start to feel more relaxed and can see the bigger picture.”
I replied, “Really? I went through a lot of hardships in my 20s, so hearing that actually makes me really happy.”

Looking back, I think the biggest challenge was the transition from student to working adult. There were so many difficulties.
I often thought, “The world can be so unfair.” And I had no idea how to deal with it.
Even when people say, “Take action!”—sometimes you don’t get the results you hoped for…
K-san said that her 20s were full of struggles too, but her 30s brought many new encounters and have been really enjoyable.

It was just a small conversation, but it left me feeling uplifted 💯
I hope I’ll get to see K-san again!
And may her baby be born healthy and strong ⭐️
