女性のパワー　The Power of Women

今日は新聞の特集でゴッホが取り上げられていた。

生い立ちについてあまり知らなかったけど彼の弟とその奥さんが面倒を見ていたとか。

特にゴッホと弟は若くして亡くなったからその後は弟の奥さんがゴッホの作品を世に広めるために尽力したとのこと。

（戦略的に頑張っていたらしい。。！）

似たような話が他にもあって、ファッションブランドのフェラガモもサルヴァトーレフェラガモが亡くなった後、奥さんのワンダさん

がブランドを守ってきたとか。

どれだけ技術があっても才能があっても、経営能力って本当に大事だよね。

戦略考えるって時にはものを作るよりも重要だと思う。

今でこそ女性管理職、女社長という言葉を聞くようになったけど当時はまだまだ大変なこと多かったんだろうな。

そういえばコロナの時も女性大統領の国は迅速な対応ができていた、という記事も読んだことがある。

この背景には女性は冷静にデータを読む力がある、と書いてあったけどそういった本来持っている特性があるのだろうか？

私も台湾のよく当たると言われている占いで「あなたは社長になれる。」と言われたことがあったけど

素質あるのかな？笑

年齢を重ねるにつれ自分の特性がわかってくるけど、一生企業勤めできる人間か？と聞かれるとNoな気がする笑

でも独立するってなかなか勇気がいるよね。

さてさて、これを読んでいる数年後、私は何をしているだろうか？

まだ企業勤めしているかな？それとも自分で働いているかな？

Today’s newspaper featured a special on Van Gogh.

I didn’t know much about his background, but apparently, his younger brother and the brother’s wife took care of him. Since both Van Gogh and his brother died young, it was the brother’s wife who devoted herself to spreading Van Gogh’s work to the world afterward.

(It seems she did it quite strategically…!)

There are similar stories too — for example, in the case of the fashion brand Ferragamo. After Salvatore Ferragamo passed away, his wife Wanda protected and carried on the brand.

No matter how much skill or talent someone has, management ability is truly essential.
Sometimes, strategic thinking can be even more important than creating things.

Nowadays, we often hear words like “female manager” or “female CEO,” but back then, it must have been much tougher for women.

Come to think of it, I once read an article saying that countries with female presidents responded quickly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It said that women have the ability to read data calmly — perhaps that’s an inherent trait they possess?

Actually, I once had my fortune told in Taiwan by a fortune-teller known for being very accurate, and they said, “You could become a company president.”
I wonder if I really have that potential, haha.

As I get older, I feel like I’m starting to understand my own characteristics, but if someone asked me, “Do you see yourself working for a company your whole life?” I think my answer would be no, haha.

Still, it takes a lot of courage to go independent, doesn’t it?

Anyway, I wonder what I’ll be doing a few years from now when I read this again.
Will I still be working for a company? Or will I be running my own business?
