台湾旅行①　Trip to Taiwan①

何度行っても楽しいと思う台湾旅行。感覚が日本によく似ている。

例えば食べ物でも香港とかと比べると薄味で日本人好みな気がする。

今回は台北と台南に行った。

台南は日本統治時代の建物が沢山残っていて京都のような印象だった。

そして道も舗装されていないのかガタガタしていて注意しないとつまづきそうになる。

人もどことなくおっとりしていてローカル感がある。

台南は神社？お寺？のようなものがあちらこちらにあるけどそこに電光掲示板が埋め込まれているんだよね。

これ結構びっくり！

あとは夜市の美味しいお店の見分け方もわかった。

奥さんがバシっと仕切っていて旦那さんが寡黙に働いているところは高確率で美味しい💯

夜市ってお腹壊すかなと思ってたけど、結構清潔感がある。

武聖夜市に行ったら子供がドラム演奏していたりダンスしてたけど彼女たちは毎回パフォーマンスしているのだろうか。

毎晩あんなにゲームをしているのだろうか。

日用品もかなり売られていてみんな吟味してたけどあそこで全てを買い揃えているのだろうか。

メリーゴーランドとかは毎回組み立てていると聞いたが一体そんなに簡単に組み立てられるのだろうか？

旅行に行くと新しい発見があって面白い。

No matter how many times I go, I always find traveling to Taiwan enjoyable. In many ways, it feels very similar to Japan.

For example, when it comes to food, compared to places like Hong Kong, the flavors are lighter and seem more suited to Japanese tastes.

This time, I visited Taipei and Tainan.

Tainan left me with an impression similar to Kyoto, as many buildings from the period of Japanese rule are still preserved there.

At the same time, some of the roads seem unpaved and bumpy, so you have to watch your step or you might trip.

The people also feel somehow laid-back, giving the city a strong local vibe.

In Tainan, there are things that look like Shinto shrines—or maybe temples—scattered everywhere, and many of them have electronic signboards embedded in them.

That was pretty surprising!

I also figured out how to spot good food stalls at night markets.

If the wife is firmly running the place while the husband quietly works without saying much, there’s a very high chance the food is delicious 💯

I used to worry that night markets might upset my stomach, but they’re actually quite clean.

When I went to Wusheng Night Market, I saw kids playing drums and dancing, and I wondered if they perform every time.

Do they really play games like that every night?

They also sell a lot of daily necessities, and people were carefully choosing items—do they really buy everything they need there?

I heard that things like merry-go-rounds are assembled each time, but can they really be put together that easily?

Traveling is fun because you always discover something new.
