占いは自分の特性を知るヒントになるかもしれない　Fortune-telling Might Be a Helpful Way to Understand Yourself

私はそこまでスピリチュアルに振り回されるタイプではないと思っているけれど、台湾旅行のときに「占いが有名」と聞いて、せっかくだしと見てもらったことがある。

そして最近は、ChatGPTなどに生年月日や出生時間を入力すると、算命学や紫微斗数で特性を教えてくれたりもする。

初めてその結果を見たとき、あまりにも当たりすぎていて本当に驚いた。

自分の特性に合わせたおすすめの仕事まで書かれていて、「これ、意外と侮れないな」と思った。

新卒の頃は自己分析シートや企業研究をしていたけれど、結局のところ自分の適性を判断するのは難しくて、なんだかんだ勤務地や年収などの条件で決めてしまっていた。

他人から長所を教えてもらうことはあっても、短所をズバッと言ってくれる人はなかなかいない。

そんなとき、こういう占いや性質診断で自分の特性を知るのは、意外と便利だと思う。

私は昔から楽器を弾くのが好きだったり、スポーツではフィギュアスケートを見るのが好きだったり、ファッションにも興味があった。

でも大学では理系の学部を選び、「これからはシステムだ！AIだ！」と、自分の“好き”とは少し離れた道を選んでいた。

しかし…！

診断結果によると、私は芸術や美を求めるもの（まさにファッションなど）が好きという特性を持っているらしい。

しかも、それらを仕事にするとかなり伸びるタイプだとか。

システム開発は成果が数字で見えやすいけれど、ファッションは受け手の感性もあるし、好きな人も多いから「ここが自分の強み」とは思ってこなかった。

転職が当たり前の時代とはいえ、ガラッと職を変えるのは簡単ではない。

だからまずはSNSやこのブログで、自分の“好き”を発信してみようかな♪

I don’t think I’m someone who gets easily swept up in spiritual things, but when I traveled to Taiwan and heard that fortune-telling was famous there, I decided to give it a try.

And these days, even tools like ChatGPT can tell you your characteristics through systems like Chinese astrology or Zi Wei Dou Shu just by entering your birth date and time.

When I first saw the results, I was honestly shocked by how accurate they were.

They even included recommended careers based on my traits, and I thought, “Wow, this is actually pretty impressive.”

Back when I was a new graduate, I filled out self-analysis sheets and researched companies, but in the end, it was hard to truly understand my own strengths and aptitudes.

I ended up choosing based on things like location and salary.

People might tell you your strengths, but it’s rare for someone to clearly point out your weaknesses.

In that sense, using tools like these to understand your own tendencies can be surprisingly useful.

I’ve always liked playing musical instruments, watching figure skating, and I’ve always loved fashion.

But in university, I majored in a science field, thinking, “The future is all about systems and AI!”

So I chose a path that was a bit removed from the things I actually liked.

But then…!

According to the results, I apparently have a natural inclination toward art and beauty—exactly the kind of things like fashion that I’ve always enjoyed.

And it even said I would thrive if I turned those interests into a career.

System development has clear, measurable outcomes—whether something runs or how many person-days it takes.

Fashion, on the other hand, depends on the viewer’s sense of style, and there are so many people who love it that I never thought of it as a personal strength.

Even though job-hopping is common nowadays, making a drastic career change isn’t easy.

So for now, I’m thinking of sharing more of what I love—whether on social media or here on this blog♪
